Fuel Injector Cleaning & Testing
Meister Werks now offers fuel injector cleaning and testing with our new Launch CNC-602a injector tester. This machine can test any range of RPM, leak test, spray pattern and many more. It can also do ultrasonic cleaning and back flush the injector to get 100% of all contaminants out of the injector.
How it works:
We install the injectors into the machine and do an auto test. This tests spray pattern, idle speed spray at 650 RPM, 4500 rpm and 6000 RPM. Furthermore, this test alone, we can determine wether or not the injector is good. If those test pass, we do a leak test
which pressurizes the injector while it is closed. You can visually see if the injector is leaking.
If any of the tests fail, we will ultrasonically clean and back flush the injectors. After cleaning we will re test, after which, a full detailed report is presented to the end user prior to the test and cleaning is completion.
On this customers job, the intake runner flaps is faulty. This is the cause of the excessive carbon build up. The faulty runner flap failure is directly related to the bad injectors being driven on for 30,000+ miles w/o repair. Also excess carbon build up issues on Cylinder No.4, No.5 & No.6 was caused directly from faulty injectors. If problem is addressed sooner (at 19,000 miles), these issues would be present today. Current milage is 64,902 miles.
In the time lapse video below, you can see one of the auto tests we preform.

Headlight Refurbishing • Mercedes E320 CDI – W211
Last week we performed a headlight refurbishing on this Mercedes E320 CDI W211. The headlights were in very poor shape, heavily oxidized, yellowed and the light distribution was almost not existent. We are able to bring our customer’s headlights back to almost brand new using our proprietary methods. This will make them look like brand new and will not fade or oxidize for another 20-30 years.
The reason headlights fade is the plastic or acrylic breaks down over time. The hardeners in the plastic will evaporate with heat and UV. This happens in hotter and sunnier climates faster than it does up here in the Seattle area. Road debris will also cause the headlights to become pitted and foggy. The only way to repair this is to replace the headlight housing itself. We can so replace the lens (if possible) or do a headlight refurbishing to the vehicle. Unfortunately this Mercedes E320 does not have the capability of replacing the lenses and housings were just too expensive for our customer.
To replace these headlight is a in depth job. The labor time to remove the bumpers and replace the lights is over double than just refinishing both headlight lenses. During this process we mask the entire front of the vehicle and cover the back half, insuring that there is no over spray on the vehicle.
Next we prep the lenses to ensure a good and permanent adhesion. We remove as many low spots on the lens that we can and any impurities prior to the headlight refurbishing.
Lastly, we spray the headlights with a two part liquid acrylic that bonds directly to the acrylic headlight lenses down to molecular structure. Having the same material on the lens allows the molecular structure to bond better than any other protective coating or buffing kit on the market. This means that it will never come off, fade or discolor for another 20-30 years. It’s also UV fast, so it will take a long time for UV to break down the lens.
Headlight Refurbishing 6.25.19:
The headlight refurbishing service we provide is meant to restore the lens output quality back to 99%. It is impossible to make them 100% perfect as we can not remove the lenses and remove blemishes that are behind the lens. We also may not be able to remove all pits in the lens as sanding them down too much can cause the light output to distort. If you want 100% [perfect lenses, we suggest purchasing new headlight housings, in which Meister Werks also sells and provides as a installation service.
Headlight Refurbishing 12.28.24:

Today at Meister Werks we have a 2014 Porsche Cayman S in for factory recommended maintenance in preparation for an upcoming Porsche Club of America track day event. The factory recommended 40,000 mile service for this Porsche Cayman includes replacing maintenance items such as the air filter, cabin air filter, spark plugs, and an oil change. For a little added performance, this Porsche Cayman is also getting a brake fluid flush with a high boiling point performance brake fluid.

This performance brake fluid has a higher boiling point, which will prevent brake fade and allows for better braking at a high speeds. This brake fluid has a dry boiling point of 280ºC / 536ºF, which is higher than the standard DOT 4 SL brake fluid, this allows for better performance at higher temperatures.
Performing maintenance items at the Porsche factory recommended intervals
is crucial to keep your vehicle operating at peak performance and to prevent other components from failing. Neglecting factory recommended maintenance results in the hardest working components not operating at their best, which forces other components to work even harder. This can lead to catastrophic failure of major components which can be very costly to repair. At Meister Werks our mission is to keep your car in top operating condition while preventing catastrophic failure and saving you money.

Brake fluid moisture is over the allow content on this #VW #Jetta #TDI. Moisture in the hydraulic braking system will introduce a series of issue. This can cause master cylinders and calipers to fail, which can lead to costly repairs. Also, under heavy breaking conditions, the moisture can actually boil, turning to steam, causing the brakes to feel spongy resulting in unsafe braking conditions.
A 2003 Mercedes E320 W211 chassis came in and put into service mode. We also performed a 100 pt inspection for some additional service.

A Quality Oil Filter is Important
At Meister Werks, we only use the highest quality oil filter on your vehicle. In this demonstration you can see the difference between high quality and low quality oil filters.
Both filters were removed from the same car, using the same oil. However the interval was drastically different. The one on the top left is a quality oil filter manufactured by Mann, a German company. The other filter pictured has clearly collapsed, which makes it much less effective at filtering oil. These lower quality oil filters can also start disintegrating and get in your oil system, which creating larger problems down the road. The bottom right filter was only used for 1,000 miles, while the other one was used for over 5,000 miles.
Despite what the dealer or manufacturer recommends, we suggest changing your oil and filter at 5,000 miles on all your vehicles. Some manufacturers recommend changing the oil and filter every 10,000 miles, this is a national average and does not take into account our local climate, the driver’s driving style, or the manner in which the vehicle is used. For example, a vehicle that is used mostly for short trips in stop and go traffic means you may need your oil changed more frequently, such as 3,000 miles. Some people who do a lot of long distance freeway driving might be able to go longer than 5,000 miles. Our standard recommendation is 5,000.
At Meister Werks, we help you keep track of your vehicle’s oil service intervals and make sure your vehicle is in tip top shape with our courtesy 30 point inspection. We also use the highest quality oil and filters on the market for your European or import vehicle. Sometimes a quick change oil service company seems convenient, however they might not use quality parts or proper oil which can result in damage or breakdowns and they may not perform inspections which could uncover additional maintenance and repairs your vehicle needs.
Contact us today and get your oil and filter service appointment. To make an appointment, call 425-254-0627 or email us. Meister Werks European & Import is located one block south from The Renton Landing in Renton, WA.
2005 Mini Cooper S Fog Light Install
Last Friday we completed a fog light install on Lori’s 2005 Mini Cooper S (Slick). Lori really wanted something unique for her car. We went through the Hella catalogue and spent a good amount of time looking for the perfect lights that were under her budget. She then decided on the Hella 500 Series black magic halogen driving lamp kit, due to the look and styling that would complement Slick.
Custom Brackets
Before receiving the kit we knew that there may be some custom modification or fabrications that to do to get these lights to fit the way she wanted them to. After receiving the kit, Lori dropped off the car and Luke started the mock up. Next, we determined that a simple bracket mount was all we needed to get the lights to line up
properly. We then carefully measured, drilled, and tapped the holes in the bumper and rebar. After that we mocked up the bracket, supplied by Hella, with a piece of
16 gauge cold rolled steel to create a custom mount. After that, we measured, marked and drilled all the holes. Keenan then took over and media blasted the paint off of the Hella brackets and welded them to our custom mounts. Some more minor sandblasting took place to get them prepped for powder coating. He powder coated the brackets black to match the styling of Slick. After all of that, they were ready to install.
Wiring
While Keenan was building the brackets, Luke stared to wire the head lights to the Mini. We ran the harness under the dash with a hidden switch. Then he wire tucked the harness though the engine compartment and though the car’s re-bar. Two small holes in front of the bracket mounts allowed us to access the headlight harness for a nice and clean install.
Completion
After everything was installed and wired, we aimed the fog lights to line up with the headlights. Lori can request us to re-aim the lights if they are not to her liking. As you can see the install went well and it is exactly the style she was looking for.
If you would like fog lights installed on your car, call 425-254-0627 or email us to make your appointment. Meister Werks European & Import is located one block south from The Renton Landing in Renton, WA.
