About Mini Addicted
The Club name speaks for it’s self “MINI ADDICTED”. This social club is all about the MINI. We love the idea that no two MINIS are alike. We enjoy customizing, modifying and adding our own character or twist to the MINI. This social club is here for sharing experiences, car knowledge, photos and building new friendships.
This club will have meet ups, events, drives, photo shoots and attend car shows. We are a Pacific Northwest club only, so you must live in Washington, Oregon or Idaho plus you must own a Mini to be a member. There are no dues involved in this club but there are logo/stickers and club shirts and hoodies available to order. This social club is here for all members to feel welcomed, accepted and feel they are apart of the MINI Community. The MINI ADDICTED car club was founded by Lori Aaron Sept 2017 as a private page, it then went to a closed group in 2018.

2005 Mini Cooper S Fog Light Install
Last Friday we completed a fog light install on Lori’s 2005 Mini Cooper S (Slick). Lori really wanted something unique for her car. We went through the Hella catalogue and spent a good amount of time looking for the perfect lights that were under her budget. She then decided on the Hella 500 Series black magic halogen driving lamp kit, due to the look and styling that would complement Slick.
Before receiving the kit we knew that there may be some custom modification or fabrications that to do to get these lights to fit the way she wanted them to. After receiving the kit, Lori dropped off the car and Luke started the mock up. Next, we determined that a simple bracket mount was all we needed to get the lights to line up
properly. We then carefully measured, drilled, and tapped the holes in the bumper and rebar. After that we mocked up the bracket, supplied by Hella, with a piece of
16 gauge cold rolled steel to create a custom mount. After that, we measured, marked and drilled all the holes. Keenan then took over and media blasted the paint off of the Hella brackets and welded them to our custom mounts. Some more minor sandblasting took place to get them prepped for powder coating. He powder coated the brackets black to match the styling of Slick. After all of that, they were ready to install.
While Keenan was building the brackets, Luke stared to wire the head lights to the Mini. We ran the harness under the dash with a hidden switch. Then he wire tucked the harness though the engine compartment and though the car’s re-bar. Two small holes in front of the bracket mounts allowed us to access the headlight harness for a nice and clean install.
After everything was installed and wired, we aimed the fog lights to line up with the headlights. Lori can request us to re-aim the lights if they are not to her liking. As you can see the install went well and it is exactly the style she was looking for.
If you would like fog lights installed on your car, call 425-254-0627 or email us to make your appointment. Meister Werks European & Import is located one block south from The Renton Landing in Renton, WA.
2018 Mini Cooper H&R Lower Springs Install
Yesterday we completed an H&R lowering spring install on a 2018 Mini Cooper S Edition 7. This car comes from the factory with a sporty suspension, but not everybody likes the softer feel of it. The H&R lowering springs will change that spring rate to a slightly stiffer one while maintaining a comfortable ride. These lowering springs will lower the car approximately 1.1″ in the front and back.
Since this is such a new platform, there is little information available. However, the F56 platform is the same throughout all 2014-2018 Mini Cooper S models.
After removing the stock suspension and installing the lowering springs, we put the car up on the alignment rack to get everything straighten out. The camber was set a little in at 1.75º, this gives the car a little better handling characteristics in the corners. Tire wear should be minimal with this camber setting.
Over all, these springs give a much better ride quality and improved drivability. They perform much better than OEM springs and make the driving experience very fun.
If you want lowering springs on your car, call 425-254-0627 or email us to make your appointment. Meister Werks European & Import is located one block south from The Renton Landing in Renton, WA.
